On Wednesday 5th December 2002 late at night in the Amazon
a group of people, about 8 men came up to the Sea Master (Sir Peter Blakes boat) on their boat and started climbing onto the Sea Master.
While the men were boarding Sir Peter Blake reached for his gun and shot one of the 8 men.
The men shot Sir Peter Blake back. He died from gunshot wounds that night.
The Pirates stole a spare engine and watches.

I am proud of you for finding all the information yourself and putting it into your own words.
Do you know that the day I found out that Peter Blake had been killed I cried. I felt so sad for New Zealand and for his family.
Peter Blake was a hero and we can never replace him.
